Amazingly delicious with or without whipped cream!
2/3 cup of sugar
3 T butter
1 t grated lemon rind
3 juiced lemons
4 eggs, separated
1/3 cup flour
1.5 cups milk
Cream the butter and sugar, then add the egg yolks; beat until light yellow. Sift and add in the flour, beating on a lower speed, then add the milk, lemon rind and lemon juice. Beat the egg whites and fold them into the lemon mixture. Pour into a casserole dish and place it in a pan with water. Bake for 45 min - 1 hour at 350°.
